MATT CALDWELL

 

Matt is 24 years old, driven and passionate about his chosen sport on four wheels. Working and studying as an Apprentice in Aircraft Maintaince Engineering, most of his free time after work and on weekends gets funneled into working on the car or racing it. Matt is honest, hardworking and decidated, but also occasionally can't take himself seriously and is painfully forgetful. Matt's goal is to reach national level rally when the time and money is right.

ROSS BATSON

In the 90s Ross got introduced to rallying as a co driver in the 00 car at the Nissan nightmoves, and then went on to build and successfully compete in a GB Chrysler Galant through to 1996 as a driver. Ross occasionally returned to the navigators seat for one off events with random drivers being a โ€œfill inโ€placing as high as third outright again at the Nissan night moves. From 1990 through to 2001 Ross also was involved in pit crewing for a 2 litre sports sedan team for Best racing with ford cortinaโ€™s and ford escorts and then the team moved up to in the GT production car championship which was a support category for the 2 litre super tourers and then the V8 Super cars in a a Hyundai excel. The team also competed at the three hour endurance race at Bathurst on Super car weekend. Ross returned to navigating duties in 2014 sitting beside Justin Lange in a Ford escort who together earned Ross the second outright navigator position for the 2015 VCRS championship and regularly found to be placed in the top 5. Additionally to his navigators role Ross also competed as a driver in the Victorian Khanacross championship in his Mitsubishi Mirage placing no less than 3rd each year and achieving first outright in 2019. Ross has also competed in the Australian Khanacross championship finishing regularly in the top 10 positions outright and first in class on two occasions. Ross is now returning after a break from racing to sit beside Matt Caldwell for the 2026 season in his Mitsubishi lancer.
